James Schaffer, “JMYJAM”, was formally trained in the fine arts receiving his Bachelors degree from Edinboro University in 2009. Most of his time was spent in the painting studios. He also worked heavily in the printmaking area, utilizing the available resources to print images he created.

After graduating JMYJAM exhibited paintings and drawings around the city of Pittsburgh. He held a solo painting show at the Westmoreland County Community College, as well as collaborating on a project at the Three Rivers Arts Festival. In 2014, he started concentrating on photography. Fascinated by the immediacy of the camera, JMYJAM has been solely working in this area since.

Currently, JMYJAM is working with various artists, brands, musicians, and groups. Lately he has been creating more landscapes and capturing street images.
